We can therefore secure for members strategic information on doing business in a particular country; as well as set up introductions to the right business organisations or companies in the U.S. and throughout the western hemisphere.
How can I become active and make a difference through my membership with AmCham T&T?
AmCham T&T provides the best and most frequent opportunities for its members to be active. Members can do so by attending the events, meetings, seminars and other networking sessions or by participating on a committee. Once a company is a financial member of AmCham T&T, any of the listed principals may join an AmCham T&T committee or recommend, in writing a member of their leadership team to sit on one at no additional cost. An alternate is also recommended, so that if the principal delegate cannot attend a committee meeting, the alternate maintains company representation. All committees require consistent monthly representation at meetings.
The purpose of the committees is to encourage members to lend their voice to issues being addressed, and to get information back from AmCham T&T for dissemination in your business. As such active participation is encouraged. There are 7 committees which are as follows: Health, Safety & Environment
Overseas Security Advisory Council
Programmes & Events
Membership
Communications
Legislative
Trade & Investment*
* This committee requires special approval from the Board of Directors and the Committee Chairperson to assume participation
