Main Responsibilities:
The HSSE Officer is a technical specialist providing support services in all matters pertaining to health, safety, security and the environment.
Main responsibilities include:
- Monitor the HSE and Security environment with a view to providing advance wanrning and support on issues that may effect the investment and business climate in T&T
- Analyse technical information and compose into manageable executive summaries, position papers, comments and correspondence.
Event/Project Management:
- Plan, develop and implement AmCham’s Annual HSSE Conference and Exhibition
- Plan, develop and implement and other seminars as may be required by the work of the HSE and OSAC Committees.
- Market the events to meet targets for participation and income
- Solicit sponsors for events
- Handle all administrative work and details
- Coordinate logistics
- Manage budgets and prepare profit and loss statements
Committee Support:
- Schedule and arrange HSE and OSAC committee meetings - take minutes and prepare packages as needed.
- Follow up on action items and track committee and activities
- Respond to members’ queries and requests for services
- Assist committee chairs to coordinate meetings and activities
- Prepare committee reports for the AmCham Board of Directors
- Assist committees with their work and ensure the successful implementation of their work programmes.
